So I've suddenly realised that I go back to work next week and although I'm happy with what I've achieved so far with this website there is a lot more I would still like to have had done. I have spent this morning organising the headings and tabs to make things a little simpler to find and have a main history page to lead off from rather then a million drop down tabs at the top. This will hopefully also give people a good overview of the topics across the year levels and cuts down on empty heading pages.
On a side note I have gone a bit mad with online shopping these holidays and hit the Amazon bookstore ... found a couple of novels about Samurai's which might be useful for those teachers planning to intergrate english and hass, still waiting for those to arrive. I also bought a copy of Zoe Suggs's "Girl Online" Zoe ( Zoella ) is a huge internet vlogger click here for her channel and makeup guru and I've been quite addicted to her and her extended circle of youtube vlogging friends these holidays thanks to my son......(.My personal fav is danisnotonfire :) )
Anyway... her novel arrived the other day and I was not expecting to really enjoy it, I was expecting a poorly written romantic teenage novel, which it essentially is.... but I was surprised to find I actually really enjoyed it. There was of course the furore over the fact Zoe used a ghost writer but putting that aside it's a nice little cautionary tale about the dangers, and advantages, of an online life. I think it helps knowing a little about Zoes' background as there are elements of her life in the novel and I must admit to reading the whole novel with her voice in my head. But overall it was a realy enjoyable read and I will definitely be recommending that our library gets a few copies. I'll also have my copy floating around my room if you want to borrow it :)
This blog is a record of the day to day classroom activities for teachers, parents and students. This is also a bit of a personal record for myself on how things are going and what each class is working on.
