Ok...well its been a while.... A busy week last week with sports day and then we had a nice long weekend for Adelaide Cup day.... This week i have decided to put a hold on the work we are currently studying in all my classes and focus on thinking and creating work about Anzac. Our school is involved with a community display with other local schools which will be on display over the school holidays and the Anzac day weekend.
My year nine class who I have for history and english, have created some wonderful collages using the words from "The Fallen" by Laurence Binyon. I'll post some photos as soon as they dry. They have turned out really lovely and I'm very impressed with the work this class have done.
The year eight english class have taken on the seemingly simple but actually quite challenging task of creating blackout poems from the diary entries of Gallipoli soldier. We will be spend the rest of this short week getting these ready for presentation.o
The year 10 geography class are looking at the statistics of war and creating some infographs displaying these. We've had a few problems with the computers so will be supplying students with the statistics they need in order to speed the process up a little and avoid some of the frustration being created : /
The year ten history class headed off to the local RSL to have a quick look around before we start cataloging the resources. I think we have quite a lot of work ahead of us as they really have an extensive collection. We will be heading down again on Thursday for a longer lesson in which we start taking photos according to the catergories we have been given.

This blog is a record of the day to day classroom activities for teachers, parents and students. This is also a bit of a personal record for myself on how things are going and what each class is working on.
